axle_stillage_05

axle pallet

Well, yours truly had nothing to do with the design of this one nor tagged it with the title 'axle stillage'. I'd say, by looking at it, it was some secondary part of an axle but certainly not a full axle. maybe a suspension leaf or stay or stiffener for the chassis of a vehicle. Whatever it is those in the automotive industry will be able to tell it apart from an engine or a wheel. I can tell you however that the additional short post sockets are so that the width of the supports can be set at wider intervals. That's just one of our many facets: to offer our client that bit of futureproof and adjustability for the years ahead when his product changes. Steel pallets and stillages have been our bread and butter for over 30 years. Many of our clients have been from automotive, shipbuilding. general manufacturing and construction industries. This particular style of stillage was designed to store and transport heavy vehicle axles. The simple stillage is the easy bit, the dunnage or support positions together with the protection devices on the interior are the specialised bit which we spend much time in close focus to make sure we provide the best protection and securement for the client's product.
